GOOD TO THE LAST DROP

Why would anyone with an IQ higher than a crenshaw melon put a beverage back in the refrigerator with one or two drops left in the container?

The container has essentially been put back EMPTY.

How come? Maybe the cretinous wanker was too full to finish it off. Or the dumb bastard couldn't locate the garbage bag. Or he thought, "What could be funnier than some sap trying to get a drink from a carton with nothing in it? Man, that's a good one!"

Could there possibly be a reasonable explanation for this kind of aberrant conduct?

If any of you out there are guilty of this, or you'd like to blow the whistle on someone who is, I'd be glad to hear your confession and the motive behind your peculiar behavior.

The keyword here is "he". My father does it, my best friend's father does it, my boyfriend does it. They're all guys, and they don't stop at juice. All packaging goes neatly back where it was found - only empty. I've tried to extract an explanation from the BF, without success. I'll show him your post and try asking again.
PS. Sorry about the decidedly un-funny comment, but this is what happens when you post about such grave issues.

I have to agree with cc, Mr. T. I am the guilty party in my family. I just don't want to seem selfish, so I will leave one cracker (or cookie or chip or whatever) in the big or box to be discovered by the next hapless soul.
